Refer a patient to us
We welcome referrals from GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals across the UK. Patients can also refer themselves — no referral letter is required.
How to refer
Referring takes a couple of minutes, and we handle the rest.
Send us the details
Email the patient's details and a brief clinical summary to info@theweightlossmedics.co.uk. A formal referral letter is helpful but not essential.
We contact the patient
We arrange a secure video consultation directly with them, at a time that suits them.
You stay informed
With the patient's consent, we write to you with the outcome of the assessment and the agreed plan.
What your patient can expect
Your patient will be seen by a Consultant Endocrinologist for a full 30-minute assessment covering their history, previous attempts at weight loss and any weight-related conditions. Suitability for medical weight management is decided in that consultation — never by a form alone.
If treatment is appropriate, they receive a prescription to take to any UK pharmacy. Follow-up is at every dose change, with specialist dietetic support alongside.

We are independent of dispensing
We are Consultant Endocrinologists, not a pharmacy business. Where treatment is appropriate the patient chooses their own pharmacy, and we have no financial interest in what is dispensed — so you can be confident the advice is clinical, not commercial.
