Shelly Lamington
YMCA level 3 personal trainer.
Personal trainer
I have been a personal trainer for over a decade and recently became a Rehabilitation Therapist with Nuffield Health, where I deliver a joint pain programme designed to help people build muscle, improve balance, enhance functionality, and ultimately reduce pain.
Health and fitness have always been central to my life. I began my career as a sports coach working with young people, which sparked my passion for helping others move better and feel stronger. After graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a BA degree in Community Arts, I worked on a project focused on promoting movement and healthy eating among young people. This role incorporated techniques that encouraged personal growth, emotional expression, and improved mental wellbeing.
In 2018, I qualified with a diploma in personal training and have since been empowering adults to take control of their health and fitness. In 2025, I further expanded my expertise by qualifying in sports massage therapy, as well as becoming a joint pain and rehabilitation specialist.
I work closely with individuals to identify their health and fitness goals, supporting them in overcoming any perceived obstacles along the way. I strongly believe that with determination and consistency, anyone can achieve meaningful, lasting change. My role is to guide, motivate, and support you every step of the journey.
